Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco, is a singer-songwriter and Canadian American. Her albums span over 20 years. DiFranco has released over 20 albums. Ani Difranco is considered to be a feminist legend and a Grammy award winner. Being one of the first female artists in the 1990s, DiFranco founded her own record label. DiFranco was born in Buffalo New York on September 23 1970 the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross) and Dante Americo DiFranco and Dante Americo DiFranco, who made acquaintance while studying at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her mother hails from Montreal and her father is of Italian descent. Ani DiFranco wrote and sang 32 Flavors. The song can be found on the sixth album Not a Pretty Girl by Ani DiFranco that was which was released in the year 1996. The song appears in the soundtrack to the 1999 Canadian romance film Better Than Chocolate. In 2013 DiFranco apologised after it was revealed that she was hosting the three-day event in a former Louisiana plantation for slaves. Although she cancelled the workshop several people (including our own paper) didn't feel any regret. DiFranco apologized again a few days afterward. Her name is associated with her Little Folksinger style, but she has worked with several artists and genres including Pete Seeger to Chuck D. She is from New Orleans. Ani DiFranco is a friend of Kristen Ford. At the age of 14 she was creating her own music. They continued to be performed at coffee houses and bars during her teens. DiFranco was a student at Buffalo State College after graduating aged 16 from the Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts. Her new baritone guitar was a custom Alvarez built following a series of consultations with me as well as Chrys Johnson who was the rep for artists for Alvarez when the guitar was made.
