The family was raised in Rochester, New York, Sharp was an avid musician and was a clarinet player as well as piano and cello at the highly regarded Hochstein School of Music. The Boston Conservatory offered her an award for the theatre program at the school. Cum Laude, where she received a B.F.A. Sharp started her professional career performing on stage following her graduation at the Conservatory. Sharp played in the Broadway National Tour of Carousel. Other theatre performances include: Abyssinia, Aida, Thunder Knockin' Jitney, The Producers, Big Street, Suburb and Joe Turner's Come and Gone, in which Sharp read alongside writer August Wilson himself. Sharp is working on several original projects, including screenplays and plays. A complete recording is currently in the works. Sharp also performs. Sharp is a fan of exercising. She stays fit by training in boxing, learning Krav Maga, and taking long roadtrips. Sharp resides within Los Angeles with family.
