
Alexandra Morgan Carrasco, an American professional soccer player, is a striker with San Diego Wave FC (NWSL), which is the top division of women's soccer in the United States. She also co-captained the United States women's soccer team from 2018 to 2020 alongside Megan Rapinoe as well as Carli Lloyd. [8][9The 9 Morgan was chosen as number one in the Western New York Flash's 2011 WPS Draft shortly after she had graduated from the University of California, Berkeley. Morgan played for the California Golden Bears. In the team, she made her professional debut and was a part of the team's success in winning the league title. Morgan was just 22 at the time and one of the youngest players on the national team in the FIFA Women's World Cup 2011. The team came in second. In the 123rd minute of the semi-final clash against Canada in the 2012 London Olympics she scored the match-winning goals. She was second in the United States to score 20 goals and 21 assists in 2012. This made her the youngest and sixth-highest scoring player in the country to score 20 goals in one year. After being named U.S. Soccer Female Player of the year Morgan was also named a FIFA World Player of the Award finalist. Morgan was also instrumental in the United States winning their titles during the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cups and 2019. She was named to both the Dream Team and won the Silver Boot in 2019.
